Lesson 312:

I see all things as I would have them be…

This lesson just loops us back around again one of the first ideas presented in the lessons…“I have given everything I see… all the meaning that it has for me”.

As we take another peak this initiation lesson, we can easily notice how differently we feel about our responsibility for sight. Having come this far in the curriculum, we have much gratitude for shift in sight… We are no longer wholly insane and the sense of progress along the way that we must go is palpable… We recognize that what we choose to see with: the Holy Spirit or the ego thought systems; love or fear, is what we end up looking at… And, it makes all the difference.

We recognize also, the readiness of forgiveness to change our mind in any instant in which we seem to have lost our peace. We are aware, too, that we are not alone, and the decision I make for myself, I make for all my brothers as well. Thoughts reveal their source through perception and how perception works never changes: ‘You see what you believe is there, and you believe it there because you want it there. Perception has no other law than this.’

So, too, I am powerfully aware that what I choose for you, I choose equally for myself: and everywhere I look, I see a world where love is expressing itself in every act. Often, it is revealing a barrier to love’s presence which now, is seen as a necessary forgiveness lesson, served up for release…

Love, it’s everywhere, in the light that gives life to all seeming form… It can easily be seen in the twinkling of each brother’s eye… that twinkle then gives way to innocence and joy, laughter, yes? I have no purpose for today except to look upon a liberated world, set free from all the judgments I have made. Father, this is Your Will for me today, and therefore it must be my goal as well.

Today, we will be host to God and not hostage to the ego… Our will aligned with His, that we be but the Son He created as Himself…

“This is God’s Final Judgment: “You are still My holy Son, forever innocent, forever loving and forever love, as limitless as your Creator, and completely changeless and forever pure. Therefore awaken and return to Me. I am Your Father and you are My Son”.

Lesson 309:

I will not fear to look within today…

Getting past the boogie-man, that’s the thing, isn’t it. As we go within and face the darkness we always believed was there~ the loneliness of nothingness… Oh my gosh, I spent a lot of years here; afraid to enter the darkness fully… But when I had no where else to go; when I had basically backed myself into the dark corner of self; having sealed off every other avenue as an option, I entered the abyss of the unknown… mumbling the prayer of desperation and initiation, “There has got to be another way…”

Just like the lesson says, it was my innocence instead of guilt which I found. The relief was so powerfully poignant, that I feel literally lifted up and lightened up. Some kind of light of love seemed to virtually blast all that I identified with up to that instant.

“I’m sorry” was the secret creed I had always had tucked behind everything I did and coloring all my interactions. It was what I would call my defining personal lie… my guilty little secret identity; ‘I’m sorry I’m not enough, better, stronger, faster…worthy’…~This was the horror I believe would destroy me?... sounds more like a scared little girl, to me. And it was. Oh, I was trying… but I knew… it was inevitable… I didn’t deserve…

Well, it was inevitable alright, as it is with each of us. There come a time when each of says, with complete surrender, ‘there has got to be another way’; and listens to the call to go within… It is Love’s call… to Love, and it is the Love within which is our true Self, that answers. (Though we are generally unaware, on love’s level, at the time.)

What ‘they’ say about our beliefs and ‘reality’ being an illusion, turns out to be true. It is the FEAR boogieman which the ego placed as the gate keeper that keeps us from venturing into the path of truth within… Frantic Effort to Avoid Reality…~good acronym for fear, yes? It’s an emotion, it can’t stop a thing. And what’s more, withdraw belief in it and it crumbles cuz it’s only propped alive by the seer’s belief. What I’ve come it see is that all the beliefs I had about myself and the world were but the veil this boogieman held up to distract me from my return to truth…

As I have forged ahead with the Holy Spirit’s guiding voice and my trusty forgiveness flashlight, whatever horror I believed was there, once looked at straight on, has always dissolved behind the lamp of love’s innocence…

Turns out, KNOW THYSELF…in other words, look within, is the only game in town! And the prize? The incredible lightness of being ~Heaven; here and now…

Lesson 306:

The gift of Christ is all I seek today…

And so, our Father, we return to You, remembering we never went away; remembering Your holy gifts to us. In gratitude and thankfulness we come, with empty hands and open hearts and minds, asking but what You give. We cannot make an offering sufficient for Your Son. But in Your Love the gift of Christ is his…

In other words, without the gift of Christ… I got nothin’! God’s Son can only be honored from the reality in which He is; in the truth of what He is. If I am not aligned with my source, all that I offer, all that I do, all that I seemingly experience, is false. I’m a fraud if I am operating in anyway disconnected from the inclusiveness of my relationship with Source which is, as well, my relationship with you and all things…

Here’s the thing. Of course there is no real disconnection possible in truth. So getting hooked in a loop of believing I can source myself, and need some-thing to sustain it, find happiness, etc., is but an ancient dream of nothingness. I look at this dream, from this my so-called life’s perspective and it’s like we’re a bunch of junkies with the ego-thought-system-dream as our drug of choice, as well as the dealer. Even the addictive mechanism comprised of those oh, so, familiar feelings of guilt, restlessness, escape, craving, obsession, compulsion, using and shame, are but the operating system of the separation dream.

Here’s the important thing: It’s not real!

Each of us has had those moments when we awakened for a second and felt the overwhelming love and peace within; the eternality of what we are in truth; the gift of Christ… If we have not realized fully, that I have decided with God through the Atonement, today can be that day. What we do know, is the nothing else really gives us what forgiveness and the release into peace and oneness, does…

So, let it be today we go past all fear, and be restored to love and holiness and peace, as such is the promise of our Father’s Love; His gift of Christ which we receive by our acceptance today…

Lesson 304:

Let not my world obscure the sight of Christ…

I love this statement: “Perception is a mirror, not a fact. What I look on is my state of mind, reflected outward.” This has totally been my experience… If I have ever wanted to change the conditions that have seemed to appear in my life, try and work as I might, nothing really shifts until I shift my mind… What I have come to at this stage of my life is that the only thing of real value to me is truth, the chance to love and share love, unimpeded by valuing the false. Whenever some ‘particular’ seems to grab my attention significantly, I recognize it for what it is; a belief that there could be a separated piece of the whole, replacing awareness of what is, with fantasies of what is not… I see it as a chance to look within, find the unhealed link to the fear/ scarcity thought system, and to bring it to the Holy Spirit within my mind for forgiveness, and to Christ, for a new/ true way to see… with innocence and wholeness and joy…

Thank you for joining. Here’s today’s prayer:

“You lead us from the darkness to the light; from sin to holiness. Let me forgive, and thus receive salvation for the world. It is Your gift, my Father, giver us to offer to Your holy Son, that we may find again the memory of You, and of Your Son as You created him…”

Lesson 302:

Where darkness was I look upon the light…

You know, as I began cleaning up the dark beliefs about myself and the world, and began to see them for what they were~ obstructions within my mind, I found that the light I sought, was already there; grand, beautiful, brilliant light, emanating from within. How is it that I thought I was looking for something to come to me from without? I can’t remember the thought process… Gratitude for the incredible lightness of being, floods my mind and heart, erasing the resistant blocks I once believed to be true (and necessary tools for survival).

Now, I see that I am life! Survival was but a concept cloaked in darkness, obscuring my vision. Yet, it was easily dispelled by the light within, once I copped to believing that my mistaken separate identity was myself and becoming wholly willing to be wrong.

In the twinkling of an eye, everything changed… I became the cliché, ‘I was blind, but now I see’…

The holy instant is like the eternal light switch… It feels to me, that one is swallowed whole by love’s full and never-ending presence, totally dispelling all that was once identified as ‘me’… one can’t ever completely be duped again, into pretending to be what one is not…

No, once we recognize we are the eternal brilliance of Creation; one with our Creator, each other and/as our Self… the journey with Christ has begun…

So, however it is that we topsy-turvy and start thinking we’re characters in the dream of persons; subject and object identification instead of the dreamer, we know… we try to squeeze the Self into separate forms… Yet, we always know on some level, now, that this smallness can’t be what the truth is… (Even if we totally dumb ourselves down… say, giving chemicals the power to control our unthinking thinking), deep down, we know we know…

And forgiveness is soon to follow…Which returns the mind back to the observation deck as dreamer of the dream, enlightening the mind once again with miracles… That’s been my experience…

The return to truth has been accomplished. And we are, step by step, forgiveness by forgiveness, miracle by miracle, re-calling our Self, one brother at a time under the lamp of the Atonement, with Christ’s vision. Thank you for joining me in the joyous journey of inclusion…

Today’s prayer:

“Father, our eyes are opening at last. Your holy world awaits us, as our sight is finally restored and we can see. We thought we suffered. But we had forgot the Son whom You created. Now we see that darkness is our own imagining, and light is there for us to look upon. Christ’s vision changes darkness into light, for fear must disappear when love has come. Let us forgive Your holy world today, that we may look upon its holiness and understand it but reflects our own…”

Lesson 299:

Eternal holiness abides in me…

Eternal: always, forever. Holiness: pure, uncompromising, being… Life force, itself…. Love’s expansive extending… creation…

What is this eternal holiness which abides in us? Is it not the Christ we share as the Son of God; known only when our will is in unison with God, our Father…

Yet, we see the reflection of this eternal holiness everywhere, if we have eyes to see; in every act of kindness, every smile, and friendly hand. We feel its heartbeat as we observe children play, or recognize ourselves in a stranger’s story; bonding us as friends. It is the awareness of communication of the lover and the beloved. It is what is left of every experience in this so-called life once forgiveness has had its way with it. It is the only experience we really want … yes?

We can’t mess it up. We can’t acquire it. We can’t loose it.

We can know our holiness in answering the call to ‘know thy Self’… This is the same as accepting the Atonement for ourselves and letting all things be exactly as they are; as God created all creation to know itself….

Please join me in today’s prayer:

“Father, my holiness is not of me. It is not mine it be destroyed by sin. It is not mine to suffer from attack. Illusions can obscure it, but can not put out its radiance, nor dim its light. It stands forever perfect and untouched. In it are all things healed, for they remain as You created them. And I can know my holiness. For Holiness Itself created me, and I can know my Source because it is Your Will that You be known…”

Lesson 285:

My holiness shines bright and clear today...

Ah, yes! This day, I am alive to the holiness which I had dreamed in time and space I had denied… In recognizing myself as the dreamer of the dream of unholiness and unhappiness, the realization of the Self; whole already, holigrapically expressed as the holy Love of God the father in creation as His Son is but my one Self, follows quickly into awareness, where stillness has replaced chaos…

This is my holy witness… I am as God created me and no dream has really changed that at all…

Let me ask you this; is there anything that recognition of our joyous holiness will not answer? Is there anything we think we want in this so called life, when it boils right down to it, but the happy things of God to come to us… to feel ourselves free of all guilt and feelings of completion and incompletion… we want only to feel the joy and innocence we know is must be our own, for these feeling come from within when we look deeply into a sunset, smell the fragrance of a flower or hold our infant child in our arms…

Today, we take it one step further and accept our holiness; totally surrendering to it in place of the old addiction to grief and pain which no longer fits us at all… And with this, we can lean back and we allow the happy things of God, that the thoughts of our holiness in God have lain before us…

This is our prayer:

“Father, my holiness is Yours. let me rejoice in it, and through forgiveness be restored to sanity. Your Son is still as You created him. My holiness is part of me, and also part of You. And what can alter Holiness Itself?”

Lesson 280:

What limits can I lay upon God’s Son?

None.

Ya know, it becomes impossible to maintain one’s defense against the truth once it has been glimpsed through the miracle. Forgiveness: at the ready in every seeming situation leads back to the simple truth that we are neither that situation nor the characters within it. ‘It’ is but a flimsy overlay of make-believe or illusion, yet the truth of what we are; the light of Christ shines within and through…

We are the Son of God! And we are still as God created us.

Even staring down the belief structure of this so-called life, in this so-called world, proves out to be the power of the mind which God created one with His. So powerful is it, so as to seemingly single out (separation idea) a particular thought expression (ego) and father a world of dense so-called reality, so seemingly opposite from the rest that it believes it is this single image… And furthermore, that it can hide-out here, from its true identity as one…

Not one idea about the limited identity of this single beam, has altered the sun/son in any way and when brought to the touchstone of forgiveness, the face of Christ, which is the truth, is all that can be seen… for it is the limitless, eternal oneness we all recognize in each other as brother and the love we meld back into…

Today, we give honor where honor is due:

“Today let us give honor to Your Son, for thus alone I find the you to You. Father, I lay no limits on the Son you love and You created limitless. The honor that I give to him is Yours, and what is Yours belongs to me as well…”

Lesson 264:

I am surrounded by the love of God…

“Father, You stand before me and behind, beside me, in the place I see myself, and everywhere I go, You are in all the things I look upon, the sounds I hear, and every hand that reaches for my own. In You time disappears, and place becomes a meaningless belief. For what surrounds Your Son and keeps him safe is Love itself. There is no Source but This, and nothing is that does not share Its holiness; that stands beyond Your one creation, or without the love which holds all things within Itself. Father, Your Son is like Yourself. We come to You in Your Own Name today, to be at peace within Your everlasting Love…”

Ummm…. That feeeels soooo gooood…. Basking in the message of this prayer, which the lesson calls salvation’s prayer; brings the invitation to rest in peace, forever. And you can feel it unmistakably. It is really all we want, isn’t it. It is the heart of our oneness at the foundation which we can simply feel, right here, right now… a sense of such completeness, such wholeness, such Love. You can feel it… Yes? And haven’t you noticed that it is the base essence of what all our practicing has/is all about.

As we take this prayer’s symbols into our being, their meaning finds connection with the ‘receptor sites’, so to speak, which have been opened through our forgiveness; our letting go, the blocks to loves awareness that not only dragged us to the Course, kicking in our misery and defeat in the first place, but has systematically uncovered and released the deep-seated core beliefs we held about what we are. Now we can see that we had a case of mistaken identity which we’ve come to realize we’re but a dream and could never be in truth… And although at time we still forget, we know that if we feel yucky ~ it’s a forgiveness lesson ready for release….

This feeling of complete satisfaction and peace which we rest in behind the world-symbols of this prayer is the Love which we can count on to direct our so-called life. It is the one choice for the Holy Spirit within our mind while we remain where we are not at home. It takes us beyond belief to recognition. And here we feel the truth these words point to…. And we are ready…. If there is one thing that we can count on, it is that if life isn’t feeling yummy and we are experiencing love, everywhere, and in everyone, it is a prompt from our internal guide to choose once again; to choose forgiveness and see things differently.

Holy are we as the Son of God, united in purpose and one with our Father whom created us like unto Himself…

Lesson 263:

My holiness sees all things as pure…

“Father, Your Mind created all that is, Your Spirit entered into it, Your Love gave life to it. And would I look upon what You created as if it could be made sinful? I would not perceive such dark and fearful images. A madman’s dream is hardly fit to be my choice, instead of all the loveliness with which You bless creation; all its purity, its joy, and its eternal, quiet home in You.”

Holy vision… that’s what we’re talking about here. That feeling we always feel beneath the surface of every encounter, resting in the very belly of life itself; the initial ‘love looking itself in the mirror’ yummy feeling, the first feeling, before fear voice tells us what we see. … The one that says, “This too is me…” It is the soft, beyond the concept of judgment, eyes from which we gaze upon our infant child and see only purity and love’s blessing… We are the seer… the choice is ours… Today we merely see instead of imagine…

Lesson 250:

Let me not see myself as limited…

It seems anything of this world and its symbols that we can use to describe the Son of God would be by definition, too limiting to accurately depict. It is the experience of wholeness and magnitude present within that is us… the one we feel fully in the holy instant and tune to in forgiveness. That feeling where lack has disappeared and passionate giving moves us to speak and act….

We’re all familiar with it. In fact, we love it so much; we try to use the ego’s mechanisms to simulate it in special relationships that we design. (As if one could replicate what was created by God) You can’t get something you already have and have never lost. You can only let go every thing that is in the way of feeling its presence. ~Bingo~forgiveness~

The unlimited glory and power of the Son of God is closer than our breath, yet gives us our breath, beats our hearts and moves us within and beyond the gross and the subtle; the world, the universe and the empty fullness of the zero-point to which it all returns in full appreciation and creation ~ God, His Love, the Son, the sun, the beam, the Light…

It is spectacular that something glorious and so easily reached could so elude us, so much of the time…

Yet, we get caught in a little contraction in the thought of time; give our body’s name to it and separate it off… then spin time’s wheels trying to get off the self-appointed merry-go-round of self-identity, and back to the truth of what we already, always, are…

Certainly it’s insane. But in truth, it’s nothing…. (And inevitably culminates in the big cosmic belly-laugh)

We but need suspend everything we think we know, believe, value or love, for an instant and come with wholly empty hands unto our God~ and in a holy instant our

Today’s lesson is that invitation once again…

Self floods our awareness with the only thing we ever knew… the love we are~

3. What is the World?

Lesson 241:

This holy instant is salvation come…

The Course tells us that the world is a false perception; made by the thought of separation and held in place by our cherishing that thought. It also reminds us that when the thought of separation is changed to one of true forgiveness, we perceive an entirely different, world. Now haven’t you noticed that this dynamic is so, even in your very own life? Regardless of where we might be on our so-called ‘spiritual journey’; we’ve all experienced this, yes?

The holy instant, where salvation comes, is ours to day, for it is always, already ours. This lesson invites into this holy instant together, today. Please join me on a walk through here…

Let’s just turn ourselves around in mind and go inward; simply relaxing the mind and body and with deepest respect and faith, we move just deeper than the mind and peer into the Mind we share… With awareness as our sensor, we feel into the Love-light glow penetrating our former state…filling and expanding mind as we’ve known it, and including all within its light. With each breath we go a little deeper… and deeper still… Unmistakably, we begin to feel a warm, all-empowering Presence of Benevolence, which we recognize as the Holy Spirit, and we are aware that we are one with all that is; magnificently vast, and yet pinpointing in the zero point of Self ~And, now, in going still deeper, as we have risen to the level of our true Self~ the level where you and I are one, here we gladly receive the vision that is our birthright…

The world we return to is, as the Course refers to it, the forgiven world. Our so-called lives, themselves begin to take on the texture of a dream. The seeming specifics of person, things and situations are sort of back-grounded by a luminous shine of oneness or Christ Light. Our mood addressing life at large is no longer the somber, reparation of ‘hard-work for happiness’ gig we were up to before, but rather more one of lightness and rejoicing. Its kind of like Star Trek, with the beaming things into materializing and back out again… yes? The so-called world at large, feels more and more transparent; for our focus is on the Real, so attention is fixed in the light. Time itself has the sense of merely the passing of a dream as it takes a back seat in mind. Our attention is rightly placed on our Self as the Dreamer of the dream… What is the world, now; from this vantage point? Certainly not our Self, for we are the dreamer of it… We are the incredible Light of Being… Now, just another instant, deep within the stillness, and this universe expires into the Light of infinite changeless, formless, timeless, emptiness. And aren’t we still being; as pure awareness itself? Truth rests in us and from us and is our being, which could never ‘not be'...

Lesson 220:

I am not a body. I am free.

For I am still as God created me…

There is no peace except the peace of God.

I am not a body. I am free.

For I am still as God created me…

The Course tells us in Chapter 17 of the text, that God established His relationship with us to make us happy, and that nothing we do that does not share His purpose can be real. Also, that the purpose God ascribed to anything is its only function. And furthermore, that because of His reason for creating His relationship with us, the function of relationship (that means all relationship of any kind), became forever “to make happy”. And nothing else... To fulfill this function we must relate to our creations as God does to his. And nothing God created is apart from happiness, and nothing God created but would extend happiness as its Creator did. So, whatever does not fulfill this function cannot be real. Accepting the Atonement for ourselves is the same as saying we accept the only the truth is true. And nothing else is true…

Now since in this illusive world, we can’t actually create, we are only true to our relationship when we are ‘making happy”. Forgiveness is the constant restorative always at the ready for the return to peace and joy, if we are but willing to see things differently; give up our ‘specialnes’ in favor of the ‘peace of God’. That’s all. This can be done by seeing all relationship through the eyes of peace, by seeing with the Holy Spirit part of our minds. We then merely soften our eyes at seeming differences and let vision show us what peace would have us see instead.

We merely allow the Holy Spirit to transform our ‘special relationships’ into ‘holy ones’ with everyone and everything. We simply turning our faithlessness in favor of perfect peace, when we choose the peace of God be seen in our relationships… Then we place our faith in our brother, that he will do his part perfectly.

Faith arises from the Holy Spirit’s perception, and is the sign we share it with Him. Faith is the gift we offer God’s Son, through Him. And as such, it is wholly acceptable to both Father and Son, in reality; and therefore, it is immediately offered wholly to our Self… This is the Holy Relationship, which the peace of God makes possible…

Choosing the peace of God, is offering a clean slate to the Holy Spirit to write upon it what God would have us learn. And because of our relationship with Him, which was created to ‘make happy’, it stands to reason, that happiness only, could be God’s Will for us. Yes?!

So, we can lean back in the peace of God and let the Holy Spirit place meaning and correction and joy on all we thought we knew… paving our way to walk together on the path to re-member-ing Heaven and the peace of God…

Lesson 219:

I am not a body. I am free.

For I am still as God created me…

I am not a body. I am free…

I am God’s Son…

Be still, m mind, and think a moment upon this.

And then return to earth, without confusion

As to what my Gather loves forever as His Son.

I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me…

The body experience certainly feels real, yes? When anything seemingly happens in our lives, in this world, our body is where we seem to feel our experience. It is poignant, tangible, a mark of change, a major distraction device from the simple truth beyond, which is our Self; God’s Son…

But, there is not one of us that hasn’t felt, deeply within, that there is something much more ‘real’ beneath, within, beyond all this chaotic mechanism which is unmistakably our Self; the Self that breaths life into all these so-called physical experiences~ the Self that is God’s Son.

This lesson is inviting us to just settle into that holiness beyond this world, yet within our Self, and rest in the calm certainty of joy that is guaranteed when we release what we have made, and accept what God created as our Self.

It is the truth after all. ~ You know it, and I know it~ deep within…

Let’s just see how devoted to the truth we can allow ourselves to give to today; how present we can keep the lesson thought:

I am God’s Son…I am not a body. I am free…at the forefront of our minds. And when we notice we have lost contact, then quickly return to our memory-thought. Even when the slightest discomfort tempts us to forget our Happiness lies only in our joint Will with God’s…

Let this be the day where we release our grandiose childish game of ‘King of Bunkers Hill’ and let the grandeur that is our birthright and being, have its way…

Lesson 191:
I am the holy Son of God Himself...
This one statement is indeed the zero-point, from which I am able to let go the world with all its shifting tides of time and space and form and function, and free-fall into the all encompassing, pure bliss-filled state of my true identity~ and yours as well. Here, I know my Self. It is so simple really. It seems impossible that I could ever not have seen the brilliant truth lighting creation; the only 'real' within the dream of this world. It's simple~ I am the holy Son of God Himself. Period. And we are all One in Him...
Join me in reviewing a portion of the Lesson text;
Deny your own Identity, and you will not escape the madness which induced this weird, unnatural and ghostly thought that mocks creation and that laughs at God. Deny your own Identity, and you assail the universe alone, without a friend, a tiny particle of dust against the legions of your enemies. Deny your own Identity, and look on evil, sin and death, and watch despair snatch from your fingers every scrap of hope, leaving you nothing but the wish to die.

Be glad today how very easily is hell undone. You need but tell yourself:

I am the holy Son of God Himself. I cannot suffer, cannot be in pain; I cannot suffer loss, nor fail to do all that salvation asks.

And in that thought is everything you look on wholly changed.

Then let the Son of God awaken from his sleep, and opening his holy eyes, return again to bless the world he made. In error it began, but it will end in the reflection of his holiness. And he will sleep no more and dream of death. Then join with me today. Your glory is the light that saves the world. Do not withhold salvation longer. Look about the world, and see the suffering there. Is not your heart willing to bring your weary brothers rest?

They must await your own release. They stay in chains till you are free. They cannot see the mercy of the world until you find it in yourself. They suffer pain until you have denied its hold on you. They die till you accept your own eternal life. You are the holy Son of God Himself. Remember this, and all the world is free. Remember this, and earth and Heaven are one.

Right now, can't you just feel yourself into your true identity, shedding the old like a second skin? And we're in this together, sinking inward, resting at the still point of perfect peace...

This is the truth: We are the holy Son of God Himself...aahhh...

Lesson 173:

God is but love, and therefore so am I…

Ahh… The still peace of ‘I am’… So simple… So sure…

It is only from the acceptance of this one idea that we experience truth; God, our Self. It is here also, that we come to understand, experience, and begin to fulfill our purpose here. We are the love we are here to share; to bring forgiveness and the happy tidings of awakening unto love, to every seeming split to the one mind of the Sonship; the mind we share with God.

If God is Love, there is nothing else we could be. The ridiculous search for love is over, for through the universal experience of love’s awakening upon our mind which we share today, we recognize our Self.

We are the love we have been searching for.

And in this world of mind, expression of that pure love, such that it heals this tired idea of a world, finds its way through our whole surrender to the Holy Spirit part of mind, the Jesus part of mind. When we look at how we came this far, we but see only the footprints of love, ours have been erased by forgiveness, moving us along the inevitable way. Today, we make a deliberate decision to return the faith that Jesus/Holy Spirit has shown in us, which has brought us this far. A distance we know that the man-mind could not have made alone. For as we sink back into the experience of certainty which our guide statement directs (God is but love, and therefore so am I), we feel our other-worldliness and find our being rests in love, with no form at all. Bringing this experience forward, form-ulating a world we apply the most natural of procedures.... and let the One Who Knows, take the lead.

I will step back and let Him lead the way…

I find it incredible, when I am resting, as now, in the total oneness of God-Love, that I could ever lose faith; be petty, value the insignificant, irritate or not recognize my brother as the love that I, too, am…

Yet, it seems a part of mind remains, dreaming itself up as a body, sucking air on planet earth; suiting-up and showing-up for forgiveness’s ministry, and accepting fully the Atonement; one miracle at a time…

So at those times of personhood-posing-as-reality in mind, distinguished by feeling a lack of peace; we reach for the ready restorative and ask: Who walks with me? And we ask as a continual prayer, until we hear the joyous answer resounding within and about, which restores us to now:

I walk with God in perfect holiness…

God is but love, and therefore so am I…

Lesson 156:

I walk with God in perfect holiness…

Who walks with me? The lesson suggests that this question should be asked a thousand times a day until certainty has ended doubting and established peace….

I know for sure that this is an effective exercise. One of the earlier rounds of my going through the daily lessons, I was so struck with the simplicity of: ‘ask and ye shall receive’, that I wrote “who walks with me” on the back of both my hands, reminding me constantly throughout the day that I only had one question. And, I wanted only the answer that felt the way reading today’s lesson made me feel: namely Holy; certain, enough, innocent, a marked absence of self-necessity replaced with a sense of oneness so complete…. Love… The feeling was fleeting yet unmistakable. And I knew for sure that it was my true feeling.

I went about my regular day with the ‘who walks with me’, constant question on my lips, in my mind and heart. The body did its thing; tasks and all, but those specific details slipped to the background of my intent. Who walks with me? I ask a thousand times and then a thousand times more and the only thing that seemed certain in my day, was that nothing mattered but allowing myself to receive/remember my oneness in Him.

The certainty that I do not walk alone, but that something much larger walks with me began to carry my question. There came a sense that I was one with that hugeness and that within it was my safety and security and not within the seeming necessities of my so-called life… Peace began to fill my being, beyond the petty details and actions and emotions that seemed to fill the screen, I felt my Self beyond, undisturbed.

Who walks with me?

I walk with God in perfect holiness. I light the world; I light my mind and all the minds which God created one with me.

That day was so powerful for me; I often referenced this lesson to share with others in hopes that they might taste the experience of holiness that I had received.

What I love now is that I have learned to step back and let the light in me encompass the world in a lightened perspective; where laughing at the ego’s absurdity is always at the ready and as natural now as fear of future used to be. I know who walks with me, and that you and I are one.

Lesson 141: (121: forgiveness is the key to happiness. 122: Forgiveness offers everything I want)

My mind holds only what I think with God…

This statement reflects creation; what we are and where we came from. It is the foundation by which we embark on the next wave of awakening via the ACIM lesson curriculum.

This is the ultimate truth: “My mind holds only what I think with God”. Nothing apart from God exists. So this is the vital identity, essential to accept without reservation, for even one pure instant.

Unmitigated acceptance of this fact, once accomplished, completely reinterprets all meaning we have given to the thoughts about our lives, until now. Holding this pure thought separates the false from the true, and aligns the mind in such a way that what is false can easily be seen and the remedy of forgiveness desired. A simple bringing of illusions to the light of truth.

We are the thought God thinks constantly: His Holy Son, the happiness and contentment of His creation. Here, emboldened in this thought, we see what there is to love… It is from this original and holy premise that all the lesson we now review make sense…

The irresistible sanctity and promise of their implementation in our lives cracks the code of the ego’s addictive death-thought pathways, breathing life into our habitual thinking patterns; sweeping out the cobwebs of decay, making way for the pathways of our innocence and sinlessness to flow freely. The thoughts we think with God, now become our present pathways. They are not dependent on the tiny biophysical mechanics of the ego-world design. Ours is the premise of truth which the perspective of our so-called lives can now flow along, through forgiveness channels, instead of hate… revealing truth’s pathways of our will and God’s, which is l o v e !

The healthy heart of love pumps life possibilities of what the ‘new world’ will look like to the eyes that have been given sight to see. It is all so fresh and exciting… oui?

The vision of Christ unites rather than separates; showing all things lit brilliantly with the light of the sight from this holy premise. It reflects simply, the thought system that arises from knowledge, the mind we think with God. All grievances become a call for healing, love and union. The Course states: “Forgiveness is a necessary correction for all the mistakes that we have made. To offer forgiveness is the only way for us to have it, for it reflects the law of Heaven that giving and receiving are the some. Heaven is the natural state of all the Sons of God as He created them. Such is their reality forever. It has not changed because it has been forgotten… Forgiveness is the means by which we will remember. Through forgiveness the thinking of the world is reversed. The forgiven world becomes the gate of Heaven, because by its mercy we can at last for give ourselves. Holding no one prisoner to guilt, we become free. Acknowledging Christ in all our brothers, we recognize His presence in ourselves…”

It makes such simple sense~ all the sense in the world actually, seen from this perspective: Forgiveness is the key to happiness…

Forgiveness is now the answer to every question, the questioning of every former answer we ever thought we knew. It is the means and the end. It is the very call to mind that each ‘uncomfortable situation’ must be a forgiveness lesson, brings a sense of relief at the least and an overwhelming peace of mind at best. It blesses the mind with peaceful cohesion. What more could we want? Turns out… forgiveness offers everything we want…

In the text of the review, Jesus gives our proviso: “My mind holds only what I think with God”. He asks that we give but five minutes: “Five minutes with this thought will be enough to set the day along the lines which God appointed, and to place His Mind in charge of all the thoughts you will receive that day.”

So little for so much… I am humbly joined with you in our devotion to fully recognizing our whole mind ~ the mind that thinks only with God and therefore each other as one… My heart swells with the magnitude of God within our minds as one … Thank you forever and ever…

Lesson 124:
Let me remember I am one with God…
Who we are, is unaffected by what we think we are and what we believe about ourselves. The world around us, however, is the direct result of these thoughts.
The the fundamental law of perception is: “We see what we believe is there, and we believe it there because we want it there”… or another way the Course puts it is… “You will rejoice at what you see because you see it to rejoice.”
God’s basic law is: Love creates itself, and nothing but itself.
The miracle is the shift in perception that allows us to see the reflection of God’s law reflected everywhere. It doesn’t change the base unreality of the world we see, because we believe in its reality. That belief in it’s reality, coupled with the fact that it is Creatively impossible for us to separate entirely from our Creator, comes the apparent mechanism of choosing. Perception rests on choosing, where the knowledge of God does not. As long as we believe we perceive, we have choice.
Ultimately we have but one choice within this life of perception. That choice is always based from what we believe we are; always aligning with the guidance from the voice that speaks to the experience of our oneness with God (Holy Spirit part of Mind) or the old familiar lonely drone of chaos; specialnes -other-ness – separate interests...
This lesson is the practice of ‘turning our mind’ to God, o n l y… Which is to say, turning to creation and to truth. The return of mind to the memory of God depends on our forgiveness of everyone and every situation, event or circumstance. What we forgive becomes a part of how we see ourselves, our united oneness with each other as well as the Oneness with our Creator.
We are free, but the recognition of our freedom comes through our willingness to allow the memory of God and our oneness in Him to return to our mind…
Let me remember I am one with God, at one with all my brothers and my Self, in everlasting holiness and peace…
We do this turning our mind to God, through accepting the Atonement for our Self; forgiving every thought and projection that came from our separation belief. We then allow a new and forgiven perception of oneness to be unveiled, and the shining face of Christ reflected in the mirror of our re-identification with Who we are, at one with God…
Forgiveness teaches us to let God’s memory return to us, and give it to the world in thankfulness… It is this systematic re- tuning and re turning that stabilizes the foundation of our faith, and amplifies our trust.
We simply suit up and show up to our function in God’s plan for salvation and thus receive as we give, our eternal happiness, returned forever to the Mind we share as One, the Mind that is ONE with God…
Let this be the day… that together we mirror and view the reflection of our everlasting holiness and peace inherent in our identity as Christ the Holy son of God, united on the oneness that is the truth…

Lesson 120:

I rest in God.

I rest in God today, and let Him work in me and through me, while I rest in Him in quiet and in perfect certainty.

I am as God created me.

I am God’s Son. Today I lay aside all sick illusions of myself, and let my Father tell me Who I really am.

I rest in God… ahhhhhhhhhhhhh… sweet eternal rest… God’s love: the perfect identity of Self, unquestioned and unquestionable…

Rest in calm, quiet knowing... in everlasting joy which refreshes and renews in a continual temperate flow of perfect essence in the limitless the pool of vitality and inspiration, the tranquil immersion within the still waters of real meaning…the eternal respite of truth… the soothing reassurance of belonging… the life-everlasting membership within the Holy pool of Heavenly Love…

This is the holiday we take, today. We suspended ‘what seemed to matter or be important’ in our busy catch-up game of life~ and rest; simply, easily into our true rhythm, right here, right now…

Let us feel this holyday of rest in God in our every breath today, in the beating of our hearts as one… I rest in God today, and let Him work in me and through me, while I rest in Him in quiet and in perfect certainty.

It is here we will return again and again until we recognize it is our home and realize at last, it is the place we are and never left in truth…

We share this peace today, and extend its eternal quiet, forever… Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh… So restful it is to be only as God created and release the images of made-up identities, dying on the vine; to soften our eyes and look gently on the feeble, desiccated, used up, chameleon-ized self-concept with its hard work and rules of acquisition, it need for approval and status. We rest in the Self as God created and allow all concepts of the self to fade into the shadow of nothingness from which they came…

NOW, as water-brothers, we drink of the cup of truth: God’s Son is as God created~ and we are His Son…

Truth quenches, forever. This is the Word of God: ‘I am as God created me’. It regenerates and demonstrates the eternal vitality of life~ It fulfills and completes… Oh, how we thirst for it, when we remember not the truth of Who we are… We have accepted miracles in place of programming and the value is inestimable… Where the compulsive attempt to fulfilling desires left only an anorexic shell hollowed out by hunger and thirst, truth at once satisfies and sets free desires…

Our seeming needs, wants, desires were images, among the warehouse of the myriad thoughts and feelings that ebb and flow in mind, characterizing our so-called life in the world; just impressions in the mind… Not real at all…

I’ll tell you what: for this one, experiencing this unperturbed, loving, witnessing without attachment, has been a miracle I could never have comprehended: the experience of what it would be like to not crave and compulsively seek to satisfy? ~I had no prior identification to it~

The miracle showed it to the dreamer of the dream~ that is all; a crack in the armor of self-identity, for the truth to expose itself to me… I notice the waves with in my mind, but somehow the urgency to satisfy it is gone, I no longer feel I need to do anything with it… I rest in God and the world rests in me~ it is within me… I am God's Son. Today I lay aside all sick illusions of myself, and let my Father tell me Who I really am…

We are as God created us and we rest in God; in the still, quiet certainty that all is well and all is One… Thank you for joining me in this eternal holy instant where we bless the world with Who we are…
